I'm on the countdown to the end of my vacation, and this will be a #threadstorm summarizing how it went. Perhaps this will also serve as a good retrospective if my initial plans worked out! #hivebr
Well, I needed a vacation after a year and a half of non-stop work, and I don't even need to mention that it wasn't just in my formal job that I put effort into every day. My goal was to rest.
I managed to achieve the rest goal, took 4 days to do absolutely nothing except lie down and watch silly TV series. I needed that moment of complete inefficiency, consuming trivial entertainment.
But for the rest of my vacation, I had goals in mind, like progressing with projects. I managed to complete this partially, as a good part required the involvement of others.
I got some things in order for my company, and that was productive. I also managed to create some productive content that should bear good results soon.
I traveled. That was one of my goals to get out of my city's routine. Even though I wasn't going to work, it felt like my mind wasn't switching off here, so this was an important part.
During this last weekend of vacation, I'm going to my mother's house and spending a few days with her. With no time in my daily life, this was becoming increasingly difficult to make happen.
I managed to produce some great content here on Hive in the meantime. Regardless of how hectic my day is, I'm always here because I love being here. Taking things more slowly was fantastic!
Finally, I also managed to resolve some bureaucratic problems that on regular days would be impossible to tackle. In short, I think I did well with my planning!
