The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday sued Patrick Orlando, ex-chief of Digital World Acquisition Corp that helped former U.S. President Donald Trump's social media company go public, for #securities fraud.
Orlando allegedly misled investors by failing to disclose that his company had formulated a plan to acquire Trump Media & Technology Group Corp and was pursuing the acquisition before DWAC's initial public offering, according to the filing.
The SEC had said DWAC was found to have violated antifraud provisions of federal securities laws. In July last year, the company had agreed to a cease-and-desist order and to pay an $18 million penalty if it closed the #merger.
Democracy place an important role in acquiring a sustainable development because it gives citizens the right to make some profound decision as to who will take over the presidential position but unfortunately in some countries that claim to practice democracy the right of making decisions has been stealing away from the society, before the citizens realize what is going on the presidential position has been given to whom the authority wants to.
Autocracy has really made it difficult for citizens to enjoy life in many countries, even in some countries that claim to practice democracy but are still demonstrating autocracy, the voice of the people do not matter, their lives has no value to the leaders and this has ruined no just the country but have taken away development and economic growth.
Funny enough economic development also has a way of influencing democracy so that means that development and democracy support each other because economic growth creates a conducive environment for democracy.
Healthy educated citizens will come up with brave and smart suggestions that will help the society, when there is low economic growth achieving political stability will be difficult and this has a negative impact on the society.

Liquidity pools. You would have to have one that was USDC or USDT or another table coin that's paired with HBD and then offload it into fiat. I don't see HBD being main stream on any platforms like Coinbase at least not any time soon
There are so many places that accept bitcoin over Lightning where I live, that I could realistically do my groceries, buy beer and pretty much to anything by paying a Lightning invoice with HBD. I assume HBD gets swapped to Lightning by the node operator and so is dependent on the liquidity he/she holds.

It's 2026 and $HIVE had a nice pump to $6.9420. You converted some to $HBD. How would you offramp that $HBD to fiat without having to convert it back to HIVE and selling it?
Liquidity pools. You would have to have one that was USDC or USDT or another table coin that's paired with HBD and then offload it into fiat. I don't see HBD being main stream on any platforms like Coinbase at least not any time soon
Could you use LeoDEX to switch HBDs to Arbi-ETH or maybe USDC in Arbitrum? I speak from ignorance, I didn't use it now that they enabled HBD there.
But then that also makes me wonder if HBD would ever hold it's value if there were other offramps besides swapping it back into Hive
There are so many places that accept bitcoin over Lightning where I live, that I could realistically do my groceries, buy beer and pretty much to anything by paying a Lightning invoice with HBD. I assume HBD gets swapped to Lightning by the node operator and so is dependent on the liquidity he/she holds.
It is a whole process, without a doubt a unique opportunity presented to us.
It's a hypothetical situation followed by a question. I'd like to read some thoughts.
It would be a challenge, not sure if it would even be possible 🤔
