Today I tried my new setup in the single player mode and as soon as I have the necessary fuel I will also try the multiplayer mode which is the game mode I am most interested in

explain how “it is on Hive” to me.

Hi @simplegame Yes technically it is not on Hive but it is definitely hive-based or hive- closely related because:
I get the Hive login. Hive does not have second layer tokens. Those are just a side-chain.
Hive-engine games are not Hive games they are Hive-engine games.

@simplegame You are technically right and I think that until Hive has smartcontracts no game here on Hive can technically be called a Hive game.
I changed the thread and instead of “on Hive” I wrote Hive based game because without a Hive account you can't play the game and you can't manage the Hive engine tokens connected to the game.

Looks pretty neat, but how is it play2earn? What does it cost to get started?
Hi @pele23 I purchased 50 Centaur packs during the presale several months ago and opened 25 packs.
In order to play you must have at least 1 kart-type NFT that you can find in the packs or in the market, a common kart-type nft costs $0.25.
But to play in the multiplayer mode you need fuel which is earned by staking the NFTs you don't use in game and you must have 2 SCRIPT for each NFT staked to earn fuel.
The in-game rewards are COLONY tokens and the reward depends on the amount of COLONY tokens staked in addition to in-game achievements with a similar functioning as Splinterlands regarding SPS tokens and SPS boost for battle victories.
In my next post on Moonkarts I will analyze just the play to earn elements showing my results ;)
