Creating a narrative around "Tokenized Communities" // Suggesting a change to Hive/Twitter community promotion approach

Ive been thinking for a while now what the next FOMO token type would be for the next bull market.
If you guys remember we had different phases when BTC clones were all the rage. Smart contracts followed, memecoins, NFTs, etc.
We even had shorter hype phases like the most recent one with AI tokens that are basically 100% useless. Or if you remember the short hype phase "move to earn" tokens went through at the end of the last bull market. Even Actifit pumped 2-3x at the time.

Hive is currently set up well to attract individuals to create tokenized communities and connect "social media" to "finance".
In the past it was the platform that was the magnet for the masses. Masses have arrived on the platforms. Now the focus is quickly moving away from web2 platforms and towards content creators. I mean you all know the massive brands of Mr.Beast for example.
Those content creators that allow their fans and followers to benefit from their own success will come up on top eventually.
Thats where a platform like Hive comes in.

We are kind of already doing this here on Hive in a broader way than would be needed to move this forward.
Hive is the "everyone token" and tokenized communities would require a plug and play system with a specific individual in mind. That might sound crazy to some,

why have specific tokens, why not just use Hive.

Its a matter of individuality, personal connection and action/effect that is directly reflected into your specific token. Representing the value of you on the blockchain.

That doesnt make sense now since wer extremely small. For reference, there are 500 000 channels on youtube with more subscribers than Hive social dapps have users.
If we even get a dozen of those tokenized communities up and running on Hive you would quickly understand the necessity for individual tokenization.

But thats a technical thing. What Im talking about here is creating a narrative that would push "tokenized communities".

How do you do it?

The problem with shilling Hive is that, honestly no one gives a shit. Theres thousands of tokens constantly shilled on Twitter and you coming up:

Hey, Hive is great, seconds,tx, price, awesome, good.

... will fall on deaf ears almost 100% of the time.

To develop a narrative around "tokenized communities" we cant be focused solely on promoting a single token (HIVE). It's important to highlight the benefits of social tokens as a whole, rather than focusing exclusively on the specific features or benefits of a particular token.
This can help to create a more inclusive narrative that appeals to a broader audience and highlights the potential of social tokens as a new and exciting development in the world of cryptocurrency and social media.
A message promoting a new "inclusive" utility is far more likely to attract eyes than promoting a token and mentioning its utility.

The space needs to want this new shiny utility and use case. The idea of it is what will attract eyes. It will even attract influencer slime that wants to stay relevant by being ahead of the curve with a brand new big thing.
An influencer that promotes a single token is seen as a shill. An influencer promoting a new idea, new utility is seen as a visionary.
We need to play to their egos.

Examples:

These are just some tweets I came up with quickly for reference, you can do better.

Social tokens are the intersection of social media and crypto. The potential is enormous.

Social tokens are the natural evolution of social media. It's time for the industry to catch up.

With the rise of influencer marketing, it's clear that social media has value. But who's really benefiting from all that value? Are you benefiting #anon? You should.

Blockchain technology is changing the game for content creators and social media users. Are you ready to join the revolution?

Important part here is that the promotion is blockchain agnostic. But it needs to come from us, Hive community. If it does, Hive will end up being the final discovery, not some other social token.
He who controls and develops the narrative triumphs.

Absolutely with you on this! I see Hive as the beginning of realizing the value of social value, where as before we only valued the traffic, and advertising we used to monetize our social media activity.
SkateHive is definitely a great example of that. We want to consume skate content anyway, so there is a value to it. We just tokenize it instead, of advertising on it. Once we launch Stoken, we will be able to focus even more on the economy of the value of our skating.

do it

Everyones going to have to do it. Everyone we have on twitter is too small and twitter keeps us small.

Remove Hive as a reward token, and let only communities issue tokens. It will solve a lot of issues.

I would be onboard with that but we dont have the tech yet in place for it. HE isnt the best of solutions.

Need to be careful with that. The planets need the universe.

Thousands of tokenized communities springing up means potentially thousands could also flop. If there's nothing universal holding it up, there's nothing to fall back on if the community is a flop, and you lose all those people. Think about any failed Hive project, maybe a game. All the communities provided a few people interested in that game. Game fails, those people were not stuck on an island, and could still find other projects to be interested in as well as other communities yadda yadda yadda. The base layer or foundation is the glue. If a planet explodes, the pieces can still come together to form another one.

People able to support communities with a universal solution also gives people the ability to try before they buy. Could easily build a tokenized community around one individual and what they offer. It's madness to think a consumer would buy into each and every individual or topic that interests them.

It's also very important to find ways to leverage spillover. If someone comes along, attracted to X community, they also need to be exposed to the existence of Y. Similar to how a shopper goes to the store for milk and comes home with milk, three candy bars, and a magazine.

Hive is the "everyone token" and tokenized communities would require a plug and play system with a specific individual in mind. That might sound crazy to some,

This doesn't sound crazy to me. I wrote about it several years ago. Been talking about things similar to the point where I don't even like talking about it anymore.

Well, if they came here for that individual community and it fails, they leave, we didnt really lose anything. If anything, some will stick around most likely and look for something else on Hive if they end up liking the tokenization factor.

It's madness to think a consumer would buy into each and every individual or topic that interests them.

True. They could pick a few. Frontends could ask, or a AI helper tool could offer them a few based on questions answered. Preferences.

Been talking about things similar to the point where I don't even like talking about it anymore.

Im hoping for a positive panic that moves our devs into preparing for the bull season.

Provided the connections are clear, there's a chance they stick around, yes.

In practice I've already seen accounts using Actfit or whatever completely unaware of all this shit we're doing right now. Limiting exposure to everything else. Same with Splinterlands players. Unaware of the other Hive products.

Missed opportunities. Hive.io site helped improve things but with thousands more, all the consumer really sees are thousands of logos that could mean anything.

Thousands of communities; that's millions of potential consumers. They all need a bit of HP and it's wise to find ways to encourage them to have a bit more. I cringe when I hear folks talk about stripping the base layer because you're throwing one the best opportunities to decentralize out the door.

And if that panic you mention turns into thousands of tokenized communities that each have a token for this, token for that, token for governance; you've taken the initial reason why the consumer came in the first place away, and turned their experience into something that isn't even remotely close to being, interesting, in general.

The message is important. Who delivers it is also very important. The combination of a charismatic storyteller and a great story is unstoppable- worth billions, as I elaborate in this article: https://ecency.com/hive/@sorin.cristescu/hive-waiting-for-ryoshi

So can you breathe into Saint Shillsaton and make him real ? He's kinda sexy I guess

I mean, I get what youre saying in that post but its tough to answer if theres anyone like that here. Maybe someone would crystalize himself or herself as just that if we were bigger. Its hard to be relevant on Hive and outside Hive in the wider ecosystem. Ive never seen anyone achieve that yet.

For a moment I thought @llfarms / @justineh could be that magical person ... but then she married a bitcoiner and left ... :(

Knowing Justine she probably much happier now then she would have been being the face of Hive.

I don't think that the video blog side of HIVE will have much more demand because I think a seven-day rewards for a video seems not reasonable.

Agreed. The first step to making this happen would be creating a better sidechain solution than HE. HE is cool, but it's too isolated from other blockchain ecosystems to be taken seriously

I have two questions.

Question one. Do you think a demand for a token will give it value? (Dollar value).

Question two. If that guarantee of a value for your chosen token was available. How much would you invest to that resource.
