Dcity Presidential Poll #1: Changes to the Reward Pool.

My fellow Dcitizens,

Firstly I would like to thank for your confidence in voting me your president for a 2nd term. I will try to use this last term (for now) to get the players to speak out on a number of topics and hopefully get @gerber to respond to these and maybe even get some proposals implemented.

I will do this by creating "Presidential Poll Posts" where i propose a single change or addition for Dcity and ask the players to vote on them.

In my 1st State of the Union, i proposed to lower the percentage that goes to the reward pool in favor of Dcityfund. I also proposed that @gerber's percentage should be lowered, but in this poll I am not including his percentage, as that's up to him, not us.

A larger percentage for Dcityfund means that more rewards can be created for holding SIM, which i believe is crucial for the long term sustainability of Dcity.

These are the options to vote for:

At the same time, i think that the daily payout percentage of 1% can be lowered, now we have passed 300k Hive. A lower percentage will make the pool grow even further and adds more voting power to the Dcityrewards account,

With these polls i hope to get more player interaction, so please leave your comments on this issue as well and if you have an idea for one of the next polls, share it in the comments as well.

With the current state of the game, do you think it would be possible for @gerber to add more cards that produce other Hive-Engine tokens? We have cards that produce BEER, WEED and GAMER tokens now, could we have more?

Thanks!

Would love to have LOTUS added but that's mainly because I have been hanging around Natural Medicine community for ages and because the community leader, @riverflows , is awesome. Also we could then add something like a 'wellness center' to the cards.

I am all up for more cards and more variety.

I would love to see more HE tokens included in the game. Heck, i'd like to see ETH and BTC included in it.

As it is now, the SIM economy and the reward system is stable, and I would not change it. Even looking on the SIM/HIVE exchange rate, I would say it looks very very much sustainable.

One idea that I would like to see in the near future, would be to limit the number of cards created, and to let the free market to set the price for those cards that reaches the print limit...

The 1st edition cards are about to hit their print limit. It is not a number of cards, it is not a day circled in the calender. They go out of print when 3rd edition is released.

Good to know.

I think it's excellent to get feedback from city owners for new changes that can be made in the game. I am totally convinced that this game will have a lot of stability with the passing of time and I support some small changes in the percentages for the growth of the game.

I agree the importance of controlling the supply of SIM in order to keep dCity sustainable long term. Since I only been playing this a little over a month I am still not sure if there is/are mechanism for burning SIM. Maybe this is off a tangent but have some way of burning the SIM may help in controlling its value. Anyways I voted on your proposals and appreciate your initiative to keeping dCity great.

Voted for 45%/15% - Smaller changes and see what the results are
While I believe yes holding more SIM is important it's not that important as the rewards for it are still going to be rather low. On top of that having to many people stock pile sim can lead to some massive selling off at some point and make the token totally worthless. It needs to be pretty liquid.
If anything what needs to happen would be more sinks and burns of sim to remove them from the market as it just keeps piling up.

I've made my vote. BTW why not use https://dpoll.io for the polls?

I agree on both, to shift to DCityfund as this is crucial and important to the gameplay that people hold SIM. Also here would be interesting to raise the holdings to 25k SIMs gradually in a month so that people can stake it.

Also the daily payout shall be lowered to half. Like this the game can develop itself further.
