World is not on noisecash, torum and hive. That's confirmation bias. World is still on centralized social media and it's not getting down any time soon. Is there any protection for kids and women on hive, torum and noisse? none. People always resort to safety and centralized control so that they can have some assurance. Does hive have protection for kids, women and bullying instances? Now you understand why not every game can be blockchain based? Expecting everything to work to favor our use case and interest would be self biased and world doesn't work like that. Most of the people who preach crypto or anything in tech tend to have such confirmation bias.

I only mentioned those platforms to make a point, not to advocate for them. The point is that Web 2.0 social media has too much down side to be worth the time put into them.

Web 3.0 platforms are better for a number of reasons, but that's not the same as saying they are safe places. No matter where we go, Old Web or New Web, we will run into things we don't like or which we find distasteful. The question is to what degree can we ignore them and focus on what we care about. If the cost is too high, we need to find another place.

It's also not enough for a social media platform to pay crypto to its members. The platform needs to be a place where you would want to be if you were paid in Monopoly money. If it's that good, then it becomes your home on crypto-paying social media. Id it's not that good, the search continues. Different payout models work for different people, so that's another consideration as you noted.
