Has anyone here used either BuyMeCoffee for tippping at external blogs or BuyMeBerries for tipping here on Hive? I've seen BuyMeBerries at D.Buzz, but I've never used it. Tonight I discovered that the tipping is done using HBD. That's more than I knew this morning.
I was wondering how well these services worked as tipping mechanisms in comparison with the engagement tokens many of us tend to use here.

I noticed the banner of BuyMeBerries but never really looked into it.
That's very interesting. I wonder how it works, may need to check it out soon.

I think I have seen the berries thing around but not the coffee one. I haven't used them though.

When we sign up for a Hive account, we also get access to the "berries" feature. So for me, the link I use in a post would be
https://buymeberries.com/@magnacarta
and the tag I include in the post would be#bmbhome
;D.Buzz has a widget for tipping buzzers in "berries" (in reality, HBD). For the rest of Hive, we can incorporate linked images or text into our posts to make "berries" tipping available to other Hivers and Leos. This isn't difficult in any way.
I just don't know how to ensure that I have enough "berries" (HBD) available for tipping purposes. So tipping in "berries" isn't the same as using PIZZA, LUV, LOLZ, etc.
The coffee equivalent is for blogging platforms such as WordPress, Wix, SquareSpace, etc. It should work the same way, but at the moment it's not my concern.
