27 days ago @ryzeonline published this Guide for Splinterlands players from the perspective of an observer :

As in many of his guides, "@"ryzeonline wrote this as a conversation to someone who had many questions about the game. Even players familiar with Splinterlands can appreciate what's in the guide.

I'm in the middle of the Splinterlands guide written by @ryzeonline. Biggest take-away so far: use a value-based mindset to determine your summoner, monsters, and back. Think Warren Buffet meets Sun Tzu.

You've really summarized what I hoped would be the biggest takeaway quite well! Yes, Buffet-meets-Tzu, value-mindset for choosing summoner, monsters, and back. Well said, good sir! Wishing all Splinterlands players as much fun and success as possible. 🙏

Normally I avoided games like Splinterlands just because they made my head spin. Sudoku is more my speed, so I didn't see the sense in playing Splinterlands despite all the game offers. It just wasn't my thing.

After reading (actually, still reading) your Guide on Splinterlands, I'm more open to giving the game a chance. Not that I will play it soon, but now I consider it an option. Thanks for publishing the Guide.

A lot of games can end up being 'sudoku-like' at their core, even if they don't seem that way at first. A round of sudoku is mostly just managing a box of nine numbers. Manage them well and they all add up nicely. A round of Splinterlands is mostly just ordering a chain of 6 cards. Order them well and they beat the opposing cards. At least, that's how I see it. :)

Anyway, I'm thrilled to hear about your experience! If my post can help open up options for you, hopefully it has a similar or even increased effect on other readers, that'd be awesome! Thanks for sharing! 🙏

Ayyy, thanks for showing some love to this piece and helping it reach more Splinterlands enthusiasts. Thanks for pointing out the conversational, story-based nature of my guides as well. Rock on! 🙏

You're welcome! A good number of Splinterlands players are also Leos, and Splinterlands had become a major topic of conversation across numerous threads and editions of the recently-rechristened Daily Crypto Markets Live Blog.

Many Leos here are new to the game, and some are doing better than others. I thought they could benefit from some points the post made, especially about the mental game. If they make a great leap in earnings from Splinterlands because of your post, then you did your job im publishing the post and I did my job in promoting it at the live blog for their benefit. When they win, Hive wins. When Hive win, we all win.

I didn't realize there was significant overlap between Leo & Splinterlands, very cool! I love seeing people 'win' (in games, and life), and my content is generally aimed at helping people do so. I'm thrilled we're both doing our part. 🙏

The overlap comes from the investment aspects and implications of playing Splinterlands. Apart from being the top ranking game in all of blockchain, it's a money-maker for players and investors thanks to 15+ Layer 2 tokens it uses. The big ones are DEC and SPS; the others are mostly for in-game use.

The Leos came to Splinterlands for the income and stayed for the fun.

Splinterlands is the money-maker for Hive, and Hive is shaking that money-maker!

Makes total sense, thanks for explaining! 🙏
