A few moments ago I saw this post on D.Buzz by @ninjobu regarding Splinterlands:
If the new #splinterlands formats are going to exclude the cards that it sounds like they will, there are a lot of reward cards that everyone uses that won't be in the modern format. #ByeChicken #ByeSeaMonster #ByeWoodNymph #ByeOoze #ByeLordA #ByeGoblinMech
How much of an impact will this have for the players here? Worse gameplay, reduced earnings, fewer rental opportunities?

Oh that really stinks. I might have to figure out new strategies depending on what happens.

It's really hard to say. The cards will still be able to be used in the wild format from my understanding. It just really seems like the upcoming Chaos Legion expansion will shake things up with some of the strategies that some of us have been using. I'd guess that gameplay will improve because there will be new cheaper cards that will help out the new players that are trying to build up their collection. This should promote earnings in the market and I would imagine that the rental market will still thrive under all of these conditions.
Well it will definitely make some changes but I do think it makes sense since some of these cards really help in the fights and there is only limited supply.
