As with Bitcoin, Hive's security lies in its decentralized nature. "Not your keys, not your crypto" is even more important for Hive as it is for Bitcoin.
Also, if new arrivals to the Hive ecosystem of dApps don't like what they see, they are free to BUIDL their own versions of the dApps. After all, an Old West town didn't begin its growth until the 2nd saloon (and 3rd, ...) was built. It will be the same way for us here. Instead of being locked in to one dApp (say, for video), we should be free to choose from a selection of dApps.
