The Europeans need their gas in order to maintain their "standard of living". They have "sanctioned" Russia and they do not know if there is going to be Russian gas available in the winter. Because of all this, Europe has increased its purchases of LNG, mainly from the United States. This has had the effect of increasing its price and of decreasing the available amount for other nations.
Pakistan has seen a decrease of about 15% in its imports of LNG. This has led to blackouts because its power plants do not have enough natural gas. The same situation is repeating for other countries which need LNG.

I guess the war in Ukraine has been a huge wake up call for the Europeans on how a problem it is to depend on only one source.
Please explain your acronym "LNG"
Liquefied Natural Gas
You may indeed but that is ideological rather than factual because it obscures half of the facts. Perhaps a more objective way of putting it would be: "The EU decision to apply economic sanctions in response to Russia's imperial invasion of Ukraine led to a dynamic which causes commodities shortages all over the world."
