News and Opinion: October 27, 2022. United States GDP Increases 2.6% in the 3rd Quarter of 2022 (Advance Estimate). The US May be Pulling Out From a Recession

The United States real GDP increased at an annualized rate (and seasonally adjusted) of 2.6% in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2022, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis report. This is the first (advanced) estimate. This report will most likely be adjusted.

This result seems to take out the US from a recession. It may be explained by the US exporting record amount of commodities (specially oil and gas) and as weapons to Europe. However, if the Federal Reserve continues to raise interest rates, recession would return.
