Breaking the familiarity barrier for the masses would be big. It's hard to underestimate the difficulty involved since blockchain exists in a different conceptual universe from what nearly everyone is used to. For example, full sovereignty afforded by being a blockchain user is something foreign to most Web 2.0 users. It takes quite a bit of getting used to that there are no admins capable of restoring anybody's accounts if one loses one's private keys.
