Good thing you are buying Leo now as it will surely cost more later.

I also got into dcity yesterday after checking some posts about it and bought 1k Sim which I got a gym for 800sim but I don't really know how things work that much as I you can see here

Would really love if you can share some knowledge/ideas on how things work

You can start by checking out the tutorials made by players and reading everything in the info tab. That will tell you a lot.
