Why would they change something that works? Twitter is still a fun place to be and given that it's privately owned gives them the right to do what they want. Not fair and unethical, but it is what it is.
I'm not sure how Musk plans to improve it though

We'll never know what he's planned for twitter until the bought deal is done. A lot of shareholders are divided rn
