How long has it been? A week, a month, or has it been a year? Oh yeah, who am I kidding? I believe that it has only been 4 months and about 13 days since I last shared anything about absolutely anything. And I guess that it has been even longer since I last opened my account on Splinterlands.
I have been away from anything even remotely related to blogging and crypto, I opted out of the cryptoverse for a while now, and much like the bear, I guess you can say that I went into my own version of hibernation.
But as the old saying goes, "what goes around comes around" or was it the other way around? Anyway, whatever the semantics were, the idea is there. There are things in life that would always come back to us whether we expect them to or not.
Putting down my cup of coffee on the side railing of the front porch, I situated myself comfortably on the rocking chair and placed a blanket over my lap. I stared into the distance and started to daydream about things I could be doing if only I cashed out a huge chunk of my crypto holdings when the bull was soaring high above the clouds.
I shooked the regretful thoughts by physically shaking my head and pulled out my phone which was already sticking out from my side pocket. There were a few notifications when I scrolled down the bar and one of the notifications was a reminder to offload apps that I haven't used for a while. I clicked on that notice and was surprised to see Splinterlands on the list. Apparently, I haven't used the app for quite some time and my phone is suggesting that I should remove it altogether.
I thought about it for a few seconds and finally decided to try playing it again. I fired up the app and was expecting a few updates to meet me at the loading screen but instead, I was met by the familiar homescreen. I guess I wasn't gone as long as I thought because there hasn't really been anything new as far as the app is concerned.
And for old-time's sake, I pressed the "Battle" button to ignite the matching mechanism of the game.
And in just a few jiffies the system found an enemy for me. I guess that since I was just starting "again", the opponent will also be a beginner or an inactive account, or something like that.
I totally forgot the team compositions I used to bring to matches back then, so I just selected random characters according to their abilities.
Magic will always have a place in my heart and that's the reason why I went with Earth Splinter monsters. They are big on magic abilities and I thought that I recall that I was a big Earth user back then. I carefully picked the monsters for the lineup and just hoped for the best.
My opponent went with Water Splinter monsters and I began to feel that sudden flinch in my guts. I really had a bad feeling about the match.
And just like that, I have been presented with an ever-so-familiar screen, the results screen. And pretty much like how it was in the past, I almost always end up on the wrong side of the scoreboard. Well, anyway, that's it and I think that I need to practice more again and be familiar with the monsters again before I can score some wins on my board. So anyway, yeah, I'm back.

Thanks for sharing! - @mango-juice
nice post but posting battles with all level 1 cards only for long time may be considered as post farming.
Duly noted. Thanks.
