All you are saying, money is still the major source of happiness. Yes!!, it isn't everything but without it, it is worse. So, basically if anyone wants to have a happy and peaceful life after retirement, such a person should have a huge plan on how to get enough money before retirement.
You can't engage with people a lot without having money, your moral will be down. You can try a new career without money, to help you out. You can't help other people, without having money. People won't be around you, if you don't have money.
So, to have a good retirement life, we need to plan on getting enough money, so we can have peace of mind, and do things we want to do and not worry about, how we are going to survive next month or next week.
I understand your point @bala41288 but in truth, we should plan for retirement money, because not having enough money when retired, is a life that may be full of sadness, depression and regrets.
