With the road map on my lap with the vacation route marked, I had to list all the roads and which turns and directions my father should take.
I always took this task very seriously and my skills improved every year.
I am incredibly grateful that thanks to modern technology it is now possible to link your phone to your car and through Apple Carplay your Google Maps route is displayed on the screen in front of you.
Even traffic jams, road works, alternative faster routes and many other options are indicated in time.
Navigating is now a piece of cake. And the way to travel has certainly changed.
What a convenience, although I have always appreciated the charm of navigating yourself, using a real map and finding your way around as well.
