Second week of 2025's Saturday Savers Club! Looking forward to reading about how the other participants are doing in the other comments.
At the start of the year, I announced my two savings goals as:
- On Hive:
- Get to
1500 HP. (Well, I announced 1440, but rounded up for easy counting.)- I started the year with
121.727 HP - I now have
127.537 HP- an increase of5.81 HP - I'm growing my HP by having all my posts pay out 100% in HIVE.

$650 HBDwith the Penny a Day Challenge- I forgot to announce it, but I want to save HBD
- 11 days into the year:
- I should have saved
$0.66 HBD - I have saved:
$3.683 HBD- I put a lot more in than I needed to, early on but am still holding myself to putting in the right number of pennies each day.

- With my family:
- Pay off student loans
- With having just moved, we're not tackling this yet.
- But, we're planning out a solid budget to make sure we do!

I have one new goal, which will be part of the 1500 HP goal, and that is to earn >600 HP in author and curation rewards. This qualifies me for a 500 HP prize draw, and is in line with what I was planning anyway. I started the year with 56.85 HP in curation rewards, and according to HiveStats, now have 66.93 HP in rewards, for a gain of 10.08 HP.
I might run into some issues saving enough HBD - right now, I only get HBD from spread farming with HIVE. I might start directing some of the revenue I get from cloud mining into Hive, though. I'm going to want a robust checklist of what tokens to move where each Friday, I think…
