Cows are a lot smarter than most people think. They can solve problems, recognize faces, and remember things for a long time. They can even learn from their experiences and adapt their behavior.
Cows are also really social – they form friendships within their herds and can tell the difference between individuals. They show a range of emotions like happiness, anxiety, and even grief when they lose a companion. Plus, they use different vocalizations and body language to communicate.
So, while they might seem simple, cows are actually pretty intelligent and emotionally complex animals

Most people don't. I think there's incentive in letting people think that, considering how (and how much) most cow meat is produced. Not that I'm a vegetarian - I eat cow too
To be honest I don't think that much about how the animal felt when I eat. I mean it happens in the wild too, just without doing all the prep work first.
