2/ 🧵 Clarity, purpose, and intentionality are its distinguishing traits. Being a minimalist is, at its core, deliberately prioritizing the things most essential to us and removing everything that interferes with those things.

Because no two persons are precisely the same, the notion of intentionality takes distinct forms for each of us. However, to achieve it, we must individually go deeper and become more introspective about our beliefs and interests.

3/ 🧵 Modern civilization has bought into the myth that the key to a happy existence is to amass as many possessions as possible and, thus, to collect as many things as possible. They think that more is better and have unwittingly succumbed to the notion that pleasure can be bought at a department shop.

But they need to be corrected. Adopting a minimalist lifestyle results in liberation from the all-consuming need to own everything. Rather than continuing on the path of materialism, it takes the initiative to look for enjoyment in other places. It priorities connections, experiences, and taking care of one's spirit. It enables us to identify all we already possess and reminds us to be thankful.

4/ 🧵 On the other hand, a simple life is unified and constant. Because of this, it has acquired a way of life that is entirely transportable regardless of the circumstances. When Friday evening rolls around, life is precisely the same as it is on Sunday morning... and it is the same on Monday morning. It is consistent, trustworthy, and unchanging in its behaviour. It functions properly in any situation. It is truthful and open to consideration.
