RE: Loss: The Learning Curve & Investing Experiences

in LeoFinance2 years ago

I consider myself as a low-risk taker; always careful and rarely overreaching.
It has made me lose some opportunities, but it has always saved me from several heartbreaks. But even with that, I still believe that loss is a normal part of our lives, and no matter how careful one may be, we'll still experience it at some point.

But the truth is that their stories are aggrandized and never a yardstick for someone who is slowly aiming to build their lives.

I've always believed that life challenges are dynamic, and as such, require dynamic solutions. While there might be one or two lessons to pick from the journey of these guys, it isn't really smart to base one's entirety on their template for living life since the parameters are clearly different.

I am like you in so many ways. We often prefer to be safe rather than to lose. Who wants to lose anyways? However, no matter how smart we are, we would never outsmart the ubiquitousness of loss.
I think the goal is not to loose too much, only the to maintain a sort of balance and we'll be good.

Exactly. I totally agree with this.
We should always try to keep our losses to the barest minimum.
