RE: Facebook Is Having A Very Rough Week...

Yes i don't know what caused the server downtime. However if this provides a means for more projects and companies to demonopolize facebook i'd think that a good thing. Now as far as how facebook sells your data. I'd need more clarity on that. My understanding is they don't directly like take your personal info and sell it to the highest bidder. it's more like how google does it. They kinda match up your interest to the advertising in their networks. So i don't think it's like they take your email and your name is Scott and they sell it to Dan.

Evenso, i believe this should be the options of the users if they wanna have their info monetized. It also should be that they are fairly compensated for it. So i don't think it's like a narrative of throw the baby out with the bath water. That everyone who can profit from data is bad.

I think that's a very narrow view of it. I think it's more like data is oil of the 21st century and if i decide i want your network to sell it. I need to be compensated fairly for it like everyone else and that it doesn't just end up in the pockets of the investors or board or zuckerberg. If i'm one of those people that are into the deep state government and i want all my info private. I should have that right as well.

Now facebook alone couldn't sustain that. What would be better is several big networks emerge like it use to be in the old days. In the old days it was quite a few big social networks lol. So i think that would be more idea.

I think this just will allow more opportunity for projects like bitcoin myk that have similar features to facebook but pays it users fairly not based on selling their data but just from their own promotion and the value of ads that come through the network. Now there does have to be some leighway even in facebook's case they have purchased tons of servers and expend alot of electricity and we use the network. They will need a way to pay for these services provided however there are fair and transparent ways to do it that i think much of the population will agree with.

The bottomline is nobody wants to use the second best social network. They just don't. if i wanna reach a billion people. I'm not going to do that on networks that only serve the interest of a few people no matter how good the narratives are. If only a few people at the top get served or the opportunities and advantageous seemingly sway to them. Most people are never going to use that network. So what networks function that way my advise to them would be don't. They don't have to listen to me but i'm sure they will see the result of what happens when they don't hold their base to high esteem.

This will just open up peoples eyes to there are better networks based on merit like bitcoin myk that takes care of it's people in a fair and equitable way. Which is how social networks should work. We make the networks and content. This not like coca cola where the company has to go out and buy sugar contracts and corn syrup to sell you a bottle of coca cola. This is a network mostly gaining value based directly on us as participants. In this attention value economy. So it's only fair everyone in that network who's giving that time creating that value be compensated. The fact facebook and just about every other network in crypto out of crypto or otherwise don't do that. Shows me they don't really appreciate their base.

Eventually the people are going to wake up. How we use social media now will be not only a thing of the past but people will wonder why we were so dumb. So that is set to end. It's no way that can go on. So this is good and people will wake up. it's just one catastrophy away from them doing that. When they do you'll see them all on projects like bitcoin myk. You won't see them on pyramid like projects top up bottom down.

They will be too smart for that.

I agree people will eventually wake up. It just depends upon what generation.

The Boomers are not savoy enough in this arena. Is Gen X? Some are, many are not. Millennials? That is probable the level it starts at.
