RE: Hive has been Cut Off

in LeoFinancelast year

I've suffered a similar, but albeit less annoying case of the regulatory insanity. Here in the UK Binance's on/off ramp for GBP decided to just up and leave, no real changes whatsoever, just fear of being associated caused them to drop Binance. For me, I have to transfer (or do the opposite of this to cash in) Hive to Binance, USDT fee of $3~ to send to Coinbase, then whatever fees are associated with trading it to GBP.

The other options just aren't good enough for me in the UK. Coinbase has no withdraw fees for fiat and seems to be the best option, as is Binance unfortunately for Hive liquidity. I have fears that this will only get worse in one way or another, not even necessarily due to Hive's performance, but the insanity of regulatory changes.

Regardless of whether it's crypto or legacy, whenever the regulatory fist comes crushing down, all it does is cause more difficulties and losses/costs to retail.
