It is very hard for any business to survive in Nigeria without the support of generator,this has help as an alternative power supply to keep business going in the country.the dwindling nature of energy supply in the country is really affecting the economic growth of the country.
No business oriented person will want to bring his business to a place where there is epileptic supply of energy, this is really affecting the country negatively as investor will not be willing to bring their business to the country there by causing more economy down fall such unemployment, inadequate infrastructure and so on.many businesses has left the count as a result of poor power supply.
The ones that are existing now are those business who have been depending on power supply from generators and other alternative means to keep their business going.the inadequate supply of energy has lead to high cost of production which in one way or the other is affecting the cost of living.obviously it is not normal for industries to be depending on generators for power supply but the nonchalant attitude of the government has left most industries in Nigeria without an option.This is one of the reasons why there is slow development of the industrial sectors in nigeria.
Until the government start giving concern and support to the industrial sectors in terms of power supply which will also help in cutting production cost,the industries will remain uncompetitive.
