Cryptocurrency lending platform BlockFi polled more than 1,000 American women to determine their awareness and feelings toward the cryptocurrency sector.
According to the results, every woman in three plans to invest in cryptocurrency by the end of the year, while 60% said, they will buy cryptocurrency in the next three months.
It should be noted that the industry has a large gender gap because the majority of people who find this field interesting are of the male gender.
According to the BlockFi study, more and more females are participating in the cryptocurrency arena.
30% of the 1,031 women surveyed intend to enter the cryptocurrency ecosystem by the end of 2022, while 60% plan to do so in the next 90 days.
Awareness of cryptocurrencies among females is also on the rise.
92% of posts admit that they have heard of Bitcoin and altcoins.
The cryptocurrency category is often viewed as a financial tool that can help individuals achieve certain personal goals.
One in five women surveyed said they invest in cryptocurrency to fund a vacation or buy a home.
14% of respondents believe that Bitcoin is a suitable long-term investment.
At the same time, only 4% see NFT as serving the same purposes.
24% of American women surveyed admitted to owning cryptocurrency, while 70% were 'HODLers' (they bought it over the years and still hold their holdings).
Almost 50% of the participants said they know how to buy cryptocurrency.
By comparison, only 23% knew how to do it six months ago.
Bitcoin is undisputedly the most popular cryptocurrency for the studied demographic with 71% choosing it.
Dogecoin ranked second with 42%, while Ethereum ranked third with 18%.
Women also see that there are career views in the industry.
One in 10 reported that crypto was the most promising professional sector, twice as many respondents citing fintech.
10% of women say they are preparing to apply for a job at a blockchain-focused company in the next 12 months.
