When investing my first 10$ to purchase the spellbook, I would have never thought of such immense growth within such a short period of time. Thus, I wanted to give you an insight into how I made it, so you can start earning DEC and SPS today.

Playing Splinterlands
Going with the obvious one first, we should start with playing Splinterlands. Splinterlands is a blockchain-based trading card game where you fight PVP against other summoners. You can choose between six different splinters to create a unique team while the rule set for each game is constantly changing, such as mana cap, available Splinters, and map rules. When winning the battle, you get rewarded Dark Energy Crystals (DEC).
The amount of DEC you get per win depends on the league you are playing in. For example, playing in bronze league will get you approximately 6 DEC per win. Playing in silver will already get you around 10–12 DEC per win and so on. Hence it is more lucrative to play in higher leagues. Nonetheless, to play in higher leagues you need to meet certain levels of card power and rank to promote into the higher league. Thus, buying/renting/owning cards is necessary to play in the higher leagues.
Overall, I only invested an extra of 20USD into cards and bought the rest of my cards with the DEC earned from playing. Now my cards are worth more than 1.400$. That's what I call growth:
Rental Market
Second, you can lend out your cards and start making passive money. Also, you can rent cards to gain card power and play in a higher league. Thus the rental market is crucial to utilize when making money with Splinterlands.
You can use the platform Peakmonsters to manage all your cards and lend/rent them. You can also use the internal Splinterlands rental market. Doing this I am currently able to get ~100DEC (1.5$) per day.
SPS&Staking
SplinterShards (SPS) are the governance tokens of Splinterlands. Up until this point, there is no utility for the token except the possibility to participate in the upcoming pre-sale of the Chaos Legion cards. But there is so much utility to come for the SPS tokens so you might buy in before they break the 1$ mark.
As you can see in the image above I currently hold ~550$ worth of SPS. Funny enough, I invested 100$ exactly 80 days ago. Not only grew SPS from 0.4$ (from where I invested) to almost 0.9$, when I started staking my SPS I got more than 800% APR. Certainly, the APR got deluded to 65,92%, yet an Airdrop is happening for Splinterlands players. The airdrop is rewarding players for holding any of the game assets. Read more about the Airdrop here.
Land plots
And last but not least, Land plots. A few months ago Splinterlands announced a new map release with purchasable land plots. The plots were priced at 10$/plot and quickly sold out. When I found out about Splinterlands the land plots were long gone, and I bought one for 40$ in resell. And again, Splinterlands amazed me with immense demand reflected in the immense surge in price:

And there you have it. Actually, it was super easy and I had a lot of fun. I can only recommend you Splinterlands or any play-to-earn game, really. It was super sketchy for me at first, even just buying the Spellbook for 10$. But "sometimes you gotta risk it to get the biscuit".
