Outside of blogging/gaming on Hive the biggest suggestions are creating my own website and integrating ads. Trying to utilize affiliate links in my content or creating a drop shipping business.
None of these seem like great options.

Affiliate websites and drop shipping are certainly not passive income.
A lot of work gotta go into setting those up and getting to the point where you can start to take a back seat.
You okay with the work?
I've no problem with work but most of my extra time goes into hive related activities.
That's why i would only start building for something else if i could put the right effort into growing it.
Yeah, that's fair.
Another option is building a service based business like offering digital marketing services to clients and then transitioning to an agency model that you oversee.
