Today I resume the series of posts I call: How do I use my cryptocurrencies?, because each project that comes to light in the cryptosphere is conceived to first become the "new Bitcoin" (so far none has achieved that goal), secondly to establish itself as the best financial alternative through the use of blockchain technology and of course, to attract the largest number of users and investors by displaying a great propagandistic display or showing the benefits of the technology they apply.
This time it is the turn of Theta, a project that I met through reading a post here in #Leofinance and that I found interesting. In general terms Theta is a decentralized project that uses blockchain technology for video streaming, where users earn income by watching content and sharing resources or memory of their computers, likewise creators also earn through audiovisual production on this platform.
Basically, Theta aims to become the Mecca of entertainment by offering a technology that allows users to share their videos with better quality and speed than YouTube or Twich, for example, through its Theta Network platform. But Theta aspires to go further, they believe that Theta Network has the best conditions to compete against the giants Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+, a goal that seems very ambitious to me.
I must confess that my interest in Theta lies in an analysis based on the value of this cryptocurrency at the time I learned about this project: $0.08 which made me consider investing in 200 Theta. The following year with the bullmarket this crypto went up to 13$ each, so I already had more than 2600$ before the law of gravity placed its price at the current 0.9$ per Theta of today.
Another aspect that motivated me to invest in Theta is the fact that among those involved in the project stand out the companies Samsung and Sony, which made me think that if two of the biggest tech companies in the world are investing their funds in Theta Network then it must be interesting. But I would also like to say that I am a Theta Network user and I have earned some Fuel Theta (the token that people who lend our bandwidth to the platform receive) by watching some videos.
Surely you as a reader of this publication will ask yourself: Did she spend those Theta Tokens she bought for less than a penny when it went up to 13$, well yes, half of them I withdrew and spent them on some items for my business, the payment of my son's school and some personal matters; the rest of this cryptocurrency rests quietly in a wallet under my own custody.
Beyond thinking that I am going to make money when I invest in a project I do it after analyzing it in depth, see its pros and cons and who are involved in it. Was I lucky, yes I recognize it but I was also guided by my own research process that obviously can fail as indeed it has happened to me. I do not want this post to be interpreted by you as a reader as an investment opportunity in Theta, have the foresight to take your own research process before involving your money in any project.

This is nice, because I am currently contemplating the platform.
Yes, it is an interesting platform, although in my opinion it seems to me that it is underutilized, I think users have no idea of all the potential that Theta has.
