I understand that different cultures have very different eating habits but you see this Ewedu soup owned by Yoruba culture? It's the strangest food I have seen and eaten

I am from Enugustate Nigeria, born in the state but resides inLagos state which is a different tribe(Yoruba).Imagine using this soup mixed with tomato stew to eat swallow? That's really strange. @princessbusayo and @vickoly come over

that’s interesting! To me it looks fine although I am from the US and have only eaten African food a few times. I can only imagine feeling sick if the fish is really smelly or there’s way too much salt or something
Hahaha, when I couldn't continue with the soup,I decided to eat the fish 🐠🐟 but I ended up throwing up..
I find the soup weird 😂🤣
It looks yummy :)
Thank you 😍
What is that green sauce?
Stew is meant for eating white rice not for swallow (fufu, semolina). I love exploring other cultures but the first day I ate this soup, I threw up! Really strange to me, hahaha 😂

Hahaha... I understand you because it is not what you eat in your tribe. This is our food and we love it with any kind of stew as long as it is delicious, we are good to go. Ewedu is nutritional too and I love how it draws well.
I heard it's a nutritional but why mixing it with stew? You need to convince me oo 😂
Because I feel it's weird 😂
Hahaha,, it is impossible to not mix it with stew na 😂😂 can you eat ordinary okro without stew? Lol
That is how it is. Well, maybe you see it as stew but the one I am seeing is soup, just that it was made at a party. Isn´t it?
Well, it's called "soup" so how different it could be?
Just for laughs:
Hahaha, soup mixed with tomato 🍅 stew? Quite different
Lol
I guess it is truly different.
Hope that fish isn't Raw at least.
Exactly!! me too I don't fancy it. I keep wondering why people love it so much
I wonder oo 😂
People and their unique choices.. hahaha
Of course, it is our food and we love it. Yoruba mostly eat this soup. So, it may look strange to other tribe just as I can see your food and see it as being strange. Lol
Exactly 💯😂
It's their native food, their culture so they have to love it.
#crossculture
They love it die...lol
Same with me, I can't imagine myself eating it. But it's people's culture so I respect that.
#crossculture
Hahaha
Which tribe are you?
