Agreed. I hate that idea that you have to leave food on the plate to look educated or not to look hungry. In fact, I find very disrespectful when people leave food on the plate that they were ok with getting served.
I don't think it work that way many people have their different way of eating. Background matters or mostly is Hunger... I can be rich and i will scrap the plate clean
I remember a book I read where they would not leave a single grain on the plate. They had a difficult childhood with little to nothing and food was a luxury. They became rich and that vow was solemn to them.
The reason for leaving plates scraped this way after foo could be hunger, poverty or small quantity of food served #
