You have to seperate the from the Image. The image means nothing.
That's going to take time and a lot of explaining. You don't want to bring that to your investors or even community. They are not willing to buy that narrative (for now)

well even if you have deep pockets, at some point you need some from of funding to take your project to the next level. So...what do you do at that point?
That is not true.
A lot of amazing companies have taken no outside funding.
I have built many successful off line businesses. With no outside funding.
