I have a feeling, at this point, a full node is required.
Hopefully they are working on that. This seems to be a node issue when it stops like that.
Last night Khal said that's exactly what they are trying to bust out as quick as possible.
i'm using https://ecency.com/decks to read (and now write) threads as leo front ends only shows 4 hours ago threads (Android)

Threads seems to be working now. They are doing a coding marathon to get things ready for marketing, so it will be breaking quite a bit in the next few days. I don't like ecency and will just wait when things break
