Right and the funny thing is that they are saying it did what it was intended to do. Where are the users and investors it was supposed to bring in? I don't see any. They thought it would bring in ppl without any marketing? #dumbasses
Ah yeah, I'm not 100% sure on the technicalities required to achieve said liquidit.
I'm just not smart enough from a tech point of view to get my head around it... and the Hive elite make me feel like a moron whenever I try and engage.
It won't because few of them blog or anything else and simply consider themselves #investors. They'll always do what's best for themselves. That's why an #Oligarchy is bad and Hive isn't #decentralized.
Trying to "match curation" when you have to have a massive stake to see any real returns plus all the added nonsense of actually having to slog through posts is way less attractive than just parking cash and growing your stash
I just reviewed my witness votes and the no. of witnesses signaling 7% is ridiculous, I've always been under the impression from whatever financial advice I've had in my life that anything under 8% is losing out to inflation aka BAD 💰
Guaranteed....Not to attract anyone new lol

we talked about it on our show tonight, it'll never be the tokenomics that attracts people to this blockchain....it'll always be the apps.
Agreed, web2 users care more about reach than anything else.
Someone had a proposal to lower HBD interest rate, post rewards and increase inflation on HP Staked.

Thanks for that, I didn't see this one
You're welcome.
left my two cents lol
Will be reading the comments soon :)
Its all noise without the liquidity available to bring them in.
Everything should be going into that.
EVERYTHING.
And powering up reduces liquidity, correct? So, the full proposal to not only reduce the HBD APR, but increase it for HP is a double whammy?
I just mean purely liquidity for HBD.
Right now it is impossible for someone with even tens of K USD to move in/out of HBD easily.
The liquidity just isn't there.
Meaning it can be as safe and decentralised as it wants, but its useless
But HBD is printed when converting it from Hive to HBD I thought, so you'd need the liquidity in Hive?

Well, if I'm right they are the morons
It just needs to change or we slow grind to zero as the rich (those same Hive elite) get richer and slowly dump it all.

Hive is decentralised enough that the middle class can put people in the top 20 that will push back.
But the safe, decenralised and untouchable nature of HBD should be what makes HIVE a bazillion dollar market cap.
It should be everything.
Glad I hopped on #threads today, it's where all the news is happening! Good to see the plan for APR being reduced for HBD. I think it's time!
I think they need to keep it 20% at least until after the LeoFinance marketing push
Lame AF

Exactly!
