Economists are probably the ones in charge of explaining the economy, of giving a logical justification to the movements of the mass of money. They cannot control it because they do not possess it. Even in the few cases in which an economist has led a country (Ecuador, Argentina), he is only the one who issues norms to try to regulate its use, to print it in large quantities, although the big decisions are made by bankers and multinationals.
