So I asked chatGPT today what the “z” in gen Z stands for and it gave me quite a funny answer. Apparently the “Z” in gen Z stands for “zombies”- which connotes that the gen Z’s are a zombified generation to technology.
Context gen z is a word use to describe people born from the mid 90’s to the 2010
I had a random thought as to why most people find it very hard to be in a relationship and by most people I mean me -and by relationships I mean the romantic kinds. So I dug a little deep, I asked questions, spoke to friends, even interviewed married people. It was very easy to point out the obvious issue why most young people are single and my stay so for the rest of their life.
The male perspective
Meet James, he is a 25 years old man.James is a young man who is still early in his career trying to figure out life. James just wants love but doesn’t want commitment. James wants a woman to love him, take care of him, and give him attention when he needs it, but James also wants to flirt with other women from time to time, cheat on his partner, and also act irresponsibly like a mama’s boy.
Most women complain that men of this generation do not want commitment and do not know how to communicate their feelings effectively, but in truth, most of us are just scared. Don’t come here with the "I like a man that can cry in my arms it shows he truly loves me and is not ashamed to show me emotions”
Women say this all the time, but don’t mean it. The second you had a fight with her, she would remind you of how you were acting weak and soft in her arms. Infidelity is no longer a men’s thing in this generation; to be sincere, it never was—just that women of the older generation were good at hiding it and felt shame if they were exposed.
Not my generation, though, are we woke. or just plane STUPID.
THE FEMALE PERSPECTIVE
Meet Gina, Gina is 25 years old and majors in law. Gina has been heartbroken so many times by men her age and older, to the point where she no longer sees relationships as a partnership. It is more like a trade to her now.
She no longer wants to build with a man; she would rather be with a man who is already wealthy and can take care of her needs. Love is no longer the question; the main reason for dating any man is finances, and if you don’t have that, you don’t stand a chance.
Gina doesn’t want to work and strive to make her own money; she would rather have her man give her everything he owns—the baby girl lifestyle. If he isn’t able to provide all she needs, she moves to the next guy who can, even if he is old enough to be her father or married with kids. As a young man striving to make ends meet and to build your career, my advice is to stay away from Gina because she would shame you and talk down on you.
Gina is a baddie, she doesn’t care about anything, and if you are a good man trying to do right by her, you are boring and too clingy.
These days toxicity is celebrated while good healthy relationship traits are frowned upon or laughed at. Where do we go from here? Someone save my generation.
