Amidst the tragedies we have witnessed in the past two decades involving gun violence, such as murder, suicide, mass shootings, gang shootings, police shootings, and others. We have to ask ourselves:
Why the school shootings? Why are people, mostly kids, shooting up our schools?
To me it seems a bit obvious, but it's not simple; there are several reasons why schools have become a main target for active shooters. Besides our schools being gun-free zones and easy targets, schools have become a breeding ground for hate, bullying, and mental illness.
We have shifted focus from academic achievement to social status; students care more about their social standing in school than they do of their grades and we applaud the homecoming king, but shun the math champion.
It is no secret that our values have changed and it reflects in our schools, where we confuse our kids and indoctrinate them with gender and critical race theories, where we teach them to have a victim mentality instead of teaching them traditional values.
Of course the mainstream media never talks about these things, because they really don't care about solving the issue, they only want to push their agenda and disarm the population. It's all about government control, but we don't care about them here so lets talk about these problems.
EDUCATION IN THE CLASSROOM
I remember going to elementary school in the U.S. back in the 90s, it was a way different experience than it is now. We would listen to the national anthem in the mornings and recite the pledge of allegiance every day, teachers were held in higher regard and, as a figure of authority, they were respected by students and parents alike.
Classrooms were a bit smaller, this allowed the teacher to work more efficiently with each student and, without the distractions of social media, we were better at socializing and building relationships with each other.
Schools aren't what they used to be, they have pushed God and traditional values out of the classroom and replaced them with self-entitlement and woke ideologies. They confuse and sexualize our children and cause them life-long trauma with things like drag queen reading hour and sexually explicit books that are basically sexual erotica.
What good does any of this do? How does exposing our kids to this kind of stuff better their chances of success in life? Easy answer: It doesn't!
GUNS AND SAFETY IN THE CLASSROOM
Back in the day many schools across the US used to teach gun safety in the classroom, they also had shooting competitions and other JROTC activities that included the use of a firearm in school.
It was not uncommon for a staff to bring their hand gun to school and keep it in their car, or for the student to bring their rifle and keep it safely unloaded in their locker.
There was never an issue with this back then, students weren't shooting at each other or at their teachers. Even when there were fights they were hand to hand, kids weren't sneaking their grandpa's shotgun to kill their classmates.
It was a different world where there was respect for firearms and for each other, there was a code of honor. Kids learned this because they were taught about gun safety and good values instead of being sheltered from them.
After the The Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 it became illegal for anyone but law enforcement to posses a firearm in school. This in turn made our schools more vulnerable and an easy target for active shooters, after all, who will shoot back at them in a gun-free zone right?
Most schools don't even have a resource officer on site anymore. How are kids to be protected from an active shooter, who has planned and is prepared, if it takes the police at least 8 minutes to respond and if there's no one there who can shoot back at the perp?
Many states have been passing laws encouraging gun safety to be taught in schools and for the ability of their teachers to be armed if they choose to be. Many people oppose this, but I believe it's a move in the right direction, any shooter will think twice before shooting up a school if they know that there are trained people there that will shoot back.
HATE IN THE CLASSROOM
Schools have become breeding grounds for hate and resentment towards others and it reflects in the tragedies we have seen throughout the years.
Bullying in schools has been allowed to run rampant to the point that students develop life-long trauma and and feelings of hate and resentment, not only towards the bullies, but towards the teachers and the educational institutions that failed to keep them safe.
This is one of the big reasons kids commit these horrible acts in schools, because they are abused there and there is one there to protect them. They feel cornered with nowhere to run, nowhere to be safe, they feel alone and unseen, they scream yet they feel there is nowhere they can be heard.
When you abuse someone and they have nowhere safe to run, when they feel cornered with no way out, they will react with violence towards themselves or towards others. Not everyone is taught to deal with such situations and the ways they make us feel.
They don't teach our students how to be competent and productive anymore, instead they indoctrinate our kids and train them to have a victim mentality and a lack of appreciation towards life.
They teach things like woke ideology and critical race theory, where they are led to believe the world is out to get them, and that everyone that looks different than them is inherently racist. They are taught that they are always at a disadvantage in life because of their race or skin color, or because of their gender and sexuality.
They confuse kids with infinite gender identities, and they push kids to use puberty blockers and hormone treatments they don't need causing life-long adverse effects to their mind and bodies.
Kids are not equipped to deal with such things, they are not mentally or physically mature enough to make decisions about their gender and sexuality that will have irreversible effects on their minds and bodies.
They will become depressed and angry with themselves and others. As was the case with the 2023 Nashville, Tennessee school shooter, who was born a woman and identified as a man.
She was angry at things she did not understand and at people she did not know, she had traumas that were most likely inflicted on her during her time in school and she ended up killing innocent people including children.
We have to be more aware of the things in school that influence our children, we have to be more aware of how they are treated in school and of what they are taught there. Sometimes just talking to your kid five minutes about their day at school can make the difference.
We have to find a way to secure our schools so that they are not seen as easy targets for deranged criminals. Our kids are the most vulnerable of our people and we must find a way to protect them at all cost, they are the future of this world.
Lets talk about this and find solutions instead of filling people's minds with fear and hate towards guns. We as a society can do better, and we must.
If you have read this far I extend my deepest gratitude. If you have experienced the loss of a loved one to gun violence and want to share I encourage you to do so, as we can all learn something new from each other.
Tune in next time, I'll be writing on the subjects of government control, the criminal mindset, and how they contribute to the violence we see today.
