RE: REMOTE JOB OR WORK FULL TIME ? || MY PREFRENCE AND WHY

in LeoFinance2 years ago

There are many conveniences to working remotely, many of which you have highlighted here. And I think that's mostly why people would choose it over full-time jobs.

People like me like our space (especially our workspace) and do not like to travel much. So, dealing with traffic jams, especially if you are in a city that's crowded, is never on my agenda and I would try to avoid it at all cost.

Remote jobs help you worry less about the barriers to working efficiently and effectively delivering services or products. However, there are caveats to working remotely.

The biggest issue with working remotely is being self-motivated. Working full-time somehow provides one with the ginger needed to get up and grind. With full-time, you have to dress up, get breakfast (or not), gather things you need for the day together, and then set out to meet the call time. They are not all fun to do, but it's more like a routine that automatically sets one into the mood for work.

With the issue of self-motivation, remote work is definitely the way to go for me. Just like you, being at home is "it" for me. And also, I would like to be there often for my family. There may be "see finish" once in a while, but it really does not matter and shouldn't happen much if one can hold his family together.

Some people enjoy the thrill of setting out every day into familiar territory, knowing exactly what tasks they must complete. But for me, I prefer the advantages to working remotely, like having to spend less just by working at home and saving all that transport fare.

It's remote work for me.

Most obviously, we have the same likes...

People like me like our space (especially our workspace)

You mean people like "us" like our workspace. For me, I don't like to travel a lot but at the time, I love visiting new places and trying different meals. That is always my main purpose of trying different places..

The biggest issue with working remotely is being self-motivated

That's the main point... The only way I get myself motivated is by eating and also sharing my challenge with friends. Glad there are places like StackOverflow, where questions can be asked to other developers.

Foodie, you are truly a foodie, to the extent eating gives you motivation, that's really cool sha. And it's true, asking others in the same field as you questions is something that will be great help.

Food gives energy... So I don't think there is literally anything that can give me that kinda motivation food can give me.

You're absolutely right, we even need it to help our brains function very well. I agree with you on that, there is nothing that can give you the motivation that good food gives 🥰.

Well I love remote jobs but I also love traveling because it helps widens my horizon and it facilitates my learning experience and process. But as a remote worker I get to choose a convenient time to travel, so I think that is what makes it a lot fun.

Indeed working alone, one needs self motivation, because there are days when it seems like it's too hard to go on but if one has someone around like as a full-time worker with colleagues, it would be a lot easier.

Exactly my point. I like to be in control of my travels. I do not like them to be too frequent (they stress me), so I think remote jobs will help reduce them.

I do not dispute the advantages to full-time job, especially in regards to self-motivation. I just feel remote jobs endear themselves to me more as they seem to provide the control I seek.

Oh right, that's totally understandable as it somehow appeals to me, hehe.

Exactly, there are sometimes when I feel it would be nice if I had a boss at this point, lolz.
