After the initial stage of getting a Hive account, Hive is pretty much a perfect platform for teaching kids about blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
If you have a kid at home (and is of a sensible enough age), why not give him/her a Hive account, and start off with a game like dCrops on Hive with the aim of introducing blockchain educationally?
After all, dCrops is easy to play: plant, grow, harvest, sell, be rewarded. Actually, kids these days know way more complicated games! So dCrops is going to be a piece of cake.
Once they get the hang of dCrops, the next step is to make it clear that the token earned within the game has value in the real world, too. That is, buying any new seeds on the market is the same as spending money on candies at the shop down the street.
Hopefully that is enough to get them interested enough to know how they can make more of these valuable tokens.
At this stage, you can send some Hive tokens to their account or allocate some small amount of pocket money in Hive by way of recurring payments to the child's account on a daily basis.
With that, you can use the chance to explain distributed ledger and smart contract, just a little. After all, the sending of tokens across accounts needs to be recorded somewhere. And the smart contract of sorts handles the recurring payment automatically.
If things go well, you can finally push your luck a little further to explain the consensus mechanism, and why in Hive Block the current witness changes every time the screen is refreshed.
Pulling out the Hive Block Explorer might help too. At this point, the immutability of blockchain can also be emphasized. These records are permanent!
Lastly, poking into some whale accounts can also serve to illustrate what is meant by a public blockchain where transaction records can be seen by anyone.
These will be enough building block knowledge base for any kid (or adult who are new to blockchain) to learn about how a typical blockchain works.
P/S: Of course, the info above assumes that you know how Hive works. It is written quite briefly. Feel free to post your questions below if you need clarification!

In my case - I am planning to create a separate account for my daughter in the future, maybe next year or so since she is just 6 months old.
In every post that I will do, set it as a beneficiary in that way once she is able to use Hive 12 years old or more ( because I think the youngest that we have right now is 12 not sure about that ) she might have a better Hive Power already.
But yeah Dcrops can be a good way to start Hive or if the kid's into trading card games Splinterlands is a good option as well.
