This morning, after not seeing any usual terrible complaints on hard fork glitches, a new idea how to maximize my Hive power returns, came to mind. Up until today, the major part (~260K) of my HP I kept on my main account, which was chasing for the maximum curation APR, autovoting on the most established, consistent Hive authors, always trying to front run big whale votes. Finding the optimum voting power, selecting the best timing in the tiny 2-4.5 minute time frame (window) was not easy or simple. In some cases I have seen the best, maximum return timing even before 2 minutes, since post went live. Crazy!
But now, with the new HF25 flat curation rewards, things are changing a lot. Bye-bye those disgusting whale "front-runs".
Finally, I can move at least part of my HP to my two alternative accounts (onealfa.leo and onealfa.pob) on which most voting I'm trying to do manually, where votes usually takes place far from the first 5-minute window.
Until now, these 2 alt accounts had only a minimal HP level, just enough to maintain required RC.
Now, with flat rewards, I can finally give a better Hive returns to my targets on LEO and POB.
Few clicks with a mouse, and my Hive voting power went 140x on Proof-of-Brain tribe:
The same level of returns in Hive will get my LEO tribe's curated authors, where a 20x increase took place:
I will see how it all rolls out, perhaps I will move here even more of my HP.
This is just a beginning.
Reading more about the decisions being made after the HF, it seems more clear to me that it's a fork with great impact, but a good one. Thanks for taking the time to explain it a bit more ..

Finally, the flattening of the curve allows curators to earn much more in prizes for curation even if you vote for a post well beyond the 5 minute timing.
Now the small and good authors are more protected than ever 😁👏
This is exactly why HF25 is one of the best forks so far .
Now it will provide more reasons to stake HP and vote "comments" .

It's nice to see you spreading your Hive votes across different tribes. I guess it's much required to build a user's reputation, because one thing is to receive a vote on leo or pob but without gaining Hive rewards in the process, the reputation stays lows, so this will pretty much uplift those you're upvoting.

All this new flat curve probably will have the biggest effect of comment upvotes. Which usually are not very large, and a single 3-5% upvote on a comment until today was in most cases just below the dust threshold, and bringing 0.00000 in Hive rewards. Now the bits will start to add up.

I still get a little bit lost when it comes to understanding how to vote, voting power, etc... as I'm only a little minnow in the big sea. I only delegate my small amounts to other for curation at the moment.
A very important point. Also, it will allow for the upvotes on comments to get some HP flowing to them. That is a benefit that will allow them to start powering up some on their own.
This is a big breakthrough. Thanks for the idea. I will alter my HP around also to reflect that. Hopefully get my HP vote on comments above dust.

It should all be a lot simpler for manual voting now which I think is great news for Hive.

HF25 is definitely going to change the way a lot of us do things I think. I remember those days of chasing the small window to get the best curation return. I know many people played the game much better than me. I look forward to seeing how things pan out now. I am excited to see all the manual curation and comment voting I have been doing pay off better.

After all this time "the big boys" decided the curation curve had basically no sense. Better late than never. Wonder when they will realize Hive needs to be as simple as we can get it and it definitely needs some proper marketing. Other than that I'm fine with what we have.

I'm just using one account for all platforms but I have configured the multiplier in Leodex.

Great post…. My POB account also has over 13,000 Hive Power now too. So you get big POB and Hive rewards from my Manual Curation on POB.
I was wondering how that would affect things. Thank you for pointing it out. I was thinking I had to go to Hive to take advantage of the new rules but you're saying that voting on other front-ends will still be the same. The difference is that we'll actually receive more Hive as well, right? That is awesome!

Great to know about this @onealfa, I see your potential here within the POB growing and your active participation being more efficient than the admin who doesn't seem to care much about the project itself. The strategy of voting more and voting better is undoubtedly a good one, after all, curation entering your wallet every day is a great thing. I cheer for you.

Very important IMHO @onealfa that this change will return some incentive to vote on comments. Well written comments have great value in improving the overall worth of any post. Until HF 25, the EIP changes of HF 22 "killed" this off ...

I assumed the hard fork went well since the price has finally started to move. We still need to add many significant reasons for people to buy and not sell coins. The constant selling pressure is hard to overcome.

Finally my manual votes (especially on comments) won't get the Hive rewards slashed. Curation trails will also work better for Hive rewards. When you think about it, most people were losing a lot of Hive from curation using the old model.
