Sure, $12K isn't cheap. But what a miracle

12Mhz 286, 20MB HDD, 16 gray scale EGA display, external video port, 2 modems, floppy slot, 2 serial ports, parallel port , 2 Ethernet ports (thin & thick ! 😃), 2 batteries, Toshiba extension slot.

Only 25 years ago.

Only 25.

Sort:

Had my first one about ten years later. They were quite the machines for back in the day.

I got my first laptop around 2001. Even that was a monster compared to what we have today.

How things have evolved, and how it has gone sophisticated and inversely making it cheaper.

That's the power of technology, very soon, important gadgets would also be the same someday and be replaced with something higher.

Even the 5 year old smartphone are becoming junk rapidly.

So true, Do you think iPhone 15, would still have its value in the next 5 years?

Maybe

Actually I use Android. So never experienced an iPhone.

I remember my compaq persario, with windows 3.0 and AOL 2.5 🤣

I think using the internet before most of my classmates made it easier for me to relate with younger generations in some ways but also become mature enough to get along with older generations

People do not realize how much things have changed. This is what is overlooked and why so many miss exponentials.
