Datsun is a Japanese automobile brand that originated from the Kwaishinsha Motorcar Works, founded in 1911. The first car produced was the "Dat" in 1914, named after the initials of its founders: Den, Aoyama, and Takeuchi.
In1931, DAT Motorcar Co. introduced the "Datson," later renamed Datsun in 1933 due to the negative connotations of "son" in Japanese
. Datsun became renowned for models like the 510, Fairlady, and Z series. Nissan phased out the Datsun brand in 1986 but revived it in 2013 for emerging markets, eventually discontinuing it again in 2022
