Aquascape and PeterPots: NFT Art, WAXItalia Community, and an Upcoming Game!

WaxItalia NFT is a growing community of WAX blockchain creators and collectors alike. Read along as our resident streamer and blogger @arcgspy interviews Aquascape and PeterPots - they'll tell us more about each of their projects and how do they see WaxItalia moving forward.

Interview with Aqua of AquascapeArt

Arc x Owly (AxO): Thank you so much for taking this interview, Aqua. Tell us about your WAX NFT collection Aquascape: what was your inspiration behind the project and when/how did you decide to create them on the blockchain?

Aqua: It was easy. When I discovered NFT, I asked myself: what could I do interesting? You know the answer already.

AxO: Do you do aquascaping in real life? If you do, could you show us some pictures of your work?

Aqua: Yes!

AxO: They look so cool! Let's talk talk about WaxItalia. How did you meet PeterPots and join the Wax Italia Community?

Aqua: I had just entered the crypto world for p2e. Then, on a p2e telegram group, I met a girl, Chiara, who was creating nfts. She introduced me to PeterPots. He wanted to create a community to promote each other and grow together. In a few months, we got a great recognition from the community. We made many friends and many collaborations. We can say, with pride, [we are proud] to be part of the WaxFam!

AxO: How do you imagine the Wax Italia Community in the future?

Aqua: The project was born to help small artists to grow. WaxItalia is a project open to everyone. Our goal is to help promote each other, have more exposure by joining forces, share experiences. We are inspired by The Online Inn, of which, both, Peterpots and I, are also part [of].

AxO: Do you enjoy creating NFTS so far? How do you see your project in the future?

Aqua: I have so much fun creating NFTs. I recently created a new scheme, memorywax, that differs a bit from the aquascaping style. It's a project focused on collaborations with our WaxFam friends. The community has responded well to the project and this stimulates me to continue in this direction even if I have not abandoned the Aquascape. My goal is to create an innovative collection, that explores new themes, but faithful to the label’s DNA.

AxO: What should we look forward from you in the coming weeks or months and what are you personally excited for on the WAX blockchain?

Aqua: I’m working on other collaborations for the memorywax. The scheme includes a memorywax, a projector and a final animation (blend). I still believe in the power of wax. No other blockchain can rely on waxfam, especially in this difficult moment of bear market. So, how do I see WAX in the future? Looks great!

Interview with PeterPots (aka WenMoonSer) of ILoveCryptos and Pixtalgia

Arc x Owly: Hey Peter! Thank you for having the time for this! Tell us about your WAX NFT collections, Pixtaglia and ILoveCryptos! Which one did you work on first and what inspired you to create them?

PeterPots: Hello Arc! So happy to have this interview! I started around one year ago with Ilovecryptos, and I didn't really have a plan. I was just trying and playing around with creation tools. It's an abstract/digital art collection I make with a lot of different tools. A few months ago I started Pixtalgia, a collection about Pixel Art and Gaming. Of course, I am in love with the old classic retro gaming and I think that classic game style would be awesome with some NFT features.

AxO: Pixtaglia looks neat and congratulations on getting whitelisted by AtomicHub! Are you able to share any targets you'd like to hit in the coming weeks or months?

PeterPots: Thank you very much! We are so happy about the whitelist. As a game collection it was a much harder process than with Ilovecryptos! Our next goal is to add NFT rewards in-game, from completing quests.
10% from every Pixtalgia sale goes to [the] pixtalgiawax wallet, which buys NFTs from other small artists and WAX collection and we plan to start giving NFT prizes to our players.

AxO: Tell us about the Wax Italia Community. We'd love to have more people hang out with you all!

PeterPots: Well I started making friends in some Italian Crypto communities and I taught a few friends how to start creating NFTs. I felt my community was too quiet and could use help from other creators!
I am proud of having brought Aquascape in the space. He helps me really a lot. Unfortunately, with the NFT hype gone down since last year, our spaces have been kinda quiet, hope this changes soon!

AxO: Are you looking to have more Italian creators on WAX to join in on your community?

PeterPots: Yes of course! We want to be a gathering for all Italians on Wax and in NFTs, but of course we love people from all around the world and we're open to everyone!

AxO: How do you imagine the Wax Italia Community in the future?

PeterPots: Hopefully we are going to keep growing, collab and interact with more creators and communities, and hopefully teaching many artists from outside the space about the NFT world - that's what's been driving me into creating the community at first!

AxO: Do you enjoy creating NFTS so far? How do you see your projects in the future?

PeterPots: Of course, it's a great way to put all my passions into play.
Main focus is Pixtalgia. I plan to improve my skills in pixel art and to bring a lot of innovative features to the game. I really think Pixtalgia will gather some traction at some point. There are not many action games on Wax and we look forward to have a killer gameplay soon.

AxO: What should we look forward from you and what are you personally excited for on the WAX blockchain?

PeterPots: Keep your eyes open on Pixtalgia - we're always building and updating and we've just began, and we're really exciting on how the game will become in the future. We have a ton of ideas we'd like to put into the game. Wax is simply the most suitable chain for a project like Pixtalgia - and the community is simply amazing, that's what I love more about Wax!

Pixtalgia: Retrogaming and NFTs?

You can't deny how Peter's excited about Pixtalgia but what exactly is it and why the excitement?

Pixtalgia is a 2D action platformer game created by IP Digital Services for Waxitalia Games. It is currently under development and built on the Wax blockchain. The game is inspired by retrogames you may have known and loved such as Metroid, Castlevania and Zelda.

Pixtalgia aims to become a metaverse where gamers can play different games using the same NFTs they own. This is an ambitious project and Owly Farm will be watching its growth!

You now can access the demo version of the game as long as you have at least one Pixtalgia Game Avatar. Once you hop in to the world, you will be able to interact with WAX artist NPCs and explore the area. Prepare your jumping skills and beware of enemies you could bump into! Since they're still at Season Zero, some areas are still locked.
