10000 EUR
Today this article in the newspaper caught my attention. It was titled: “Beware what you give away for the holidays!”
And I researched it, and it seems to be true. If you receive more than 10000 EUR from one person in Belgium as a gift for Christmas or New Year, you are supposed to declare it and pay taxes on it!
I kid you not, even if your parents already paid taxes on it, you should also!
Complete and utter insanity!
Don’t comply!
Sincerely,
Pele23
