What now?
I bought a refurbished iPhone 13 mini, last year in August. And I will probably never do that again. Today, suddenly the phone said that my battery isn't original... Apparently it was original for 7 months, but today it's a knock off...
Very weird stuff, but I am out of smartphone as of the moment, and it will take a while before it is repaired. For me, as a self employed individual that is just a small drama. I lost all of my contacts, because I can't access my phone right now, but even more. Other apps I use daily are not available on my reserve phone and especially not my data. And we all know, data is the new oil these days.
Cloud updates
Fact is, we should update everything into the cloud daily, if possible, hourly. But sadly, we are not used to doing that. Actually, even better would be a solution, in which you have your smartphone profile, which is constantly updated into the cloud, and it is available to transfer to a new phone with 2FA. Wouldn't that be awesome. Your smartphone breaks, you set up a new one, with all your data, photo's, etc... in a matter of minutes. I bet a lot of people would pay for that service.
And it would even be better if you could do the same for laptops. A profile, with all apps and accesses to software installed to you, dowloadable from the cloud. Directly to your new laptop!
If you can offer that, you become a billionaire in a matter of years!
Sincerely,

It's true I really need a phone detox 🤣
What you say about updates is as true now as it was in the days when IBM PCCs had green monochrome displays. Everyone knows how important it is to backup data files, yet how often do we really do this? This is one pattern of behavior which carried over into the world of Web 3.0, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
