Mainly this is for South Africa, but possibly up until your off-ramp, it works for most countries.
If the exchange you use allows BNB then the LeoFinance bridge is a great utility, albeit once you do hold bHBD it all breaks down.
So here is the flow we will be following:
HBD or HIVE->HBD , if you have HIVE on Hive-Engine, mostly their SWAP.HIVE to SWAP.HBD pool should be a quick way to consolidate.
Withdraw your HBD to Hive and once you have all your HBD in your Hive wallet you can head to CUB DEFI
Select the Wrap HBD menu item, and open it in a new tab. That will avoid the stupid thing opening in the same window. I personally detest that. Always open in new tab.
Opening the Wrap HBD page will show this page - https://wleo.io/hbd-bsc/ :
Don't mind the title, "Hive to BNB" , as you can see in the field description it is for HBD. In that address field you add your BSC address and the amount of HBD you wish to transfer from Hive to your BSC wallet.
Adding the amount and clicking TRANSFER
will give an alert asking for your Hive username. This is the action that will transfer the HBD to the Hive bridge account and they will send your money on BSC.
Once you have your bHBD which you can check by adding the bHBD contract to your metamask wallet to show the token. You can exchange it for BNB or BUSD. Since CubDefi has a farm for bHBD-BUSD that is the most direct route.
I chose bHBD-BNB and let the PancakeSwap Router handle the routing.
Now you would think going back to CubDefi and clicking exchange or visiting the farms will have a nice and easy link for reliably getting the right swap if you now want to trade your bHBD to BNB or BUSD. You would be wrong.
Fortunately you can go view their farms, pull up the liquidity swap window and get the bHBD contract address from there. There are not any fake ones yet so mostly it is safe.

So CubDefi exchange is going to send you to Pancake Swap without prefilling anything. Above is the prefilled link for the bHBD token and BNB, you can easily change to BUSD if you prefer.
From here it is simply a case of getting your bHBD traded to the token you prefer which is determined by the exchange you use to withdraw.
In my case that is BNB because VALR supports it.
On VALR I am then able to trade to my local shitcoin and withdraw direct to my bank account.
For any other token, like if I have to go SOL, XRP I would need to add Binance into the Mix. Although recently I have been seeing them supporting our cards so possibly withdraws are back.
I do think I trust VALR a bit more so I prefer excluding Binance from these trades although the route I take can get messy if I do not pay attention.
We always want more Cex and not less though, even here in South Africa Unless we going for quality over quantity.
