Staring at the pc as I do. I wonder what could I do to earn something today. Apart from the obvious.
I have a tough time thinking of things as worthwhile because I tend to find given enough time and a little bit of soliloquy everything is pretty much useless. Mainly because of effort... and a short attention span.
Bitcoins Rise
I read somewhere that Bitcoins current rise causes very little movement in alt coins. This makes a lot of sense and is maybe the one thing that triggered the itch to add something new to my holdings.Rune has been doing very well but the problem with that is how expensive it is getting and will definitely be something I can spoil myself with when I have more substantial gains in other markets.
Currently, I don't hold much of anything and apart from Staked Hive, Eth and random ERC20 tokens there is not much in earning potential.
I am still extremely wary of Ethereum staking options and the 1UP I do stake is only because I wanted to test Uniswap.
My reasoning
I bought only $20 worth of Zilliqa to start, with the intention of staking and hopefully gaining. I bought it because @Chekohler mentioned Zil and I always liked "Invader Zim".
Visting their website today, I further concluded that once all these big investors realise how trashy bitcoin is they will sure peel off a bit and start looking for better options.
Hence I am hoping the bitcoin rise will invariably give sloppy seconds to the alts.
I also like Zilliqa because apart from pushing the stupid sharding tech they actually have a big focus on community projects which pay in the currency giving it minimum utility already.
They also have a button called Useful Stuff.
In contrast, I have visited the XRP and Tron sites before and did not last even a few minutes before leaving. That for me indicates a project that is not trying to blow smoke up my ass.
Although none of my reasoning is technical or even well researched, I like the idea of owning 1000 tokens of something for $20. With staking included I can most likely only gain and in the end I want my cake and eat it.
Also, it is set up as a better bitcoin, you just know it is getting some sloppy seconds. Eth on the other hand... Who the fuck knows.

You, my friend, are stingy. spend your money; buy more shit coins. Well, as a rule of thumb, i only invite in things i understand. This enables me to resist the urge to sell when the price drops. I am not willing to go around buying fancy tokens, would rather reserve the as airdrops. Unfortunately, i end up not holding them because, with great holdings comes great responsibility, so i rather be free.
Good luck with your zili..whatever and hope btc reaches $330k or something, i see that as a massive opportunity for alts

There are not many I completely understand but as mentioned I bought a low amount and will use it to see what my earning potential is. I imagine the staking is similar to that of the graphene chains and at least it is native. Unlike with ETH where you have all these swindler pools which actually make it more complex and definitely less trustworthy. As always though people should do their own research and if anything I was describing my somewhat haphazardous method of doing things at times.
I have never actually gotten into a proper airdrop that was worth anything, I think maybe Hive and Blurt were the only ones. So this is probably also my attempt to just be a bit more involved and maybe catch a windfall who knows.

Lol hellen Zils prices have gone up since we last spoke so their fees are shit I am still getting my 25% ROI but I’ll have to leave it in for some time or for a sweet price rise to dump it
I am not beyond dumping, I bought now at 2 cents but will see how the staking goes but as always ready to dump and will just go back to finding something to funnel that in.
BTC will remain store of value and transactions will happen in alt chains.

havent had btc since mtgox crashed ... i think the alts moved up just fine, LTC jumped $30 and LINK (the latest fad i personally heard of seems to be up 8% atm)
it would be nice to have money to play with it though
steem and hive and stuff dont seem to be moving an inch, which just confirms my suspicion its a rich kids playground and kept in check artificially
and so and such but never mind - link is $15 now, its already too late to get into as well :(
