How I'm managing my Oriflame business

in LeoFinance2 years ago (edited)

One fundamental ideology I was brought up with was that “no one gets rich by just collecting salary alone”, This and so many other words have been going well in my brain immediately after I finished National Youth Service. Life might not have been so good at the beginning, but my hunger to keep getting better keeps me going.

If there is anything I cherish so much in life, it is my little understanding of small-scale business. That indeed helped a lot, and today is one of the sole reasons I am definitely doing pretty well in my little business.

I understand what having considerable capital to set up a business means and the level of growth that it might attract, but in a case where there is limited capital it is significant that one make use of what is on hand to set up a business.

Being introduced to the Oriflame business was the turning point, especially with the fact that I wouldn't have to spend much before making so much money. There were earlier struggles, but all these things were duly overcome with time.

What's Oriflame

Oriflame was founded on May 18th, 1976. This is a multinational multilevel marketing company based in Sweden that specializes in selling beauty creams and other skin care products directly to consumers through a network of independent sellers or partners.

Dealing with this brand as an independent seller has indeed helped financially. In my quest for success and having a good financial life, I honestly put customer wants as a priority, and that has indeed helped in dealing with various sets of individuals. Having a good customer relationship is vital, and in a business like this, that is the ideal way to grow faster, especially when you don't have to pay any direct or indirect tax on goods sold or purchased from the company.

One amazing thing about this business is that aside from the fact that individuals who partner with Oriflame sell goods and make profit, there is also a monthly income given to all partners based on their performance on a monthly basis. For me, this is a business that comes with tasks that one must have to deliver because the higher your selling point, the higher the level of profit you make and also your return on selling products as a partner to the brand.

All businesses have their ups and downs, especially when it comes to getting consumers to patronize you and making them not believe in what you do. In today's business, our level of marketing also determines the level of audience we will attract, but for businesses with so little capital, there is definitely much to do to bring in customers.

A brief look at my marketing strategies

Selling skin care products is very hard, especially with the level of understanding that some individuals have, but irrespective of this, I must sell what I have in stock to some potential consumers.

Online Marketing

For a business that has no location or office presently, the best way to attract customers is to engage in online marketing, which includes advertising on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. On most occasions, I post products with their functions so that customers understand the importance of buying such products.

Consumer Recommendations

This is one big way to promote any business; customer feedback and recommendations go a long way. This is indeed what has been helping my Oriflame business, as I do post consumer recommendations after they have used the product and seen how effective it is.

Clearing customer doubt about Oriflame products

There is this wide belief that Oriflame products are expensive and not effective; this alone is capable of pulling away customers from buying. One technique that I employ in marketing my products and getting them to buy is by telling them how effective these products are and giving them assurance that a refund will be done if there are no changes. Though that might not really be a suitable option, it helps make sure that people buy and use the product.

Partnering with near-by shops (salons and beauty parlors)

This is technically another strategy, especially at first, when I was thinking of getting back my capital on the business. Even at the point of calculating my profits, giving to near-by shops really helps in getting the product to all customers who come to do one thing or another in those shops.

Today, in Nigeria alone, Oriflame's business is honed, as we have more than 6,000 individuals partnering with the company here in Nigeria. Taking things to the next level is very paramount, as getting a shop and adding more value to my small-scale business will definitely help me go far in this sector.

Currently, numerous individuals are joining this business, as there are plenty of opportunities for those partnering with them. Within a few years, the company has indeed helped and elevated all business partners by crediting them with cash and also giving them the avenue to visit various countries as part of their incentive for selling their products.

Oriflame might not be a well-known noise-making company, but it is undoubtedly one of the companies that is currently changing the lives of individuals by giving them massive opportunities to work with them and still get paid after making profit on products they bought and sold on their own.

I am absolutely looking at taking this business to the next level; expanding it is definitely one thing I am currently looking at, and giving it a better marketing strategy will definitely increase my audience and bring in more potential customers too.

Regardless of how small it might be, having in-depth knowledge on how to manage and market your business will automatically help you go a long way in life. For me, partnering with Oriflame a year ago has indeed changed numerous things financially, as the company's structure is well-sustainable.

With 54 years of existence, the company has indeed shown why they are absolutely one of the leading skin care companies all over the world, and even with that, all Oriflame products get good ratings by those who have used them, which now makes it easier for intending partners to have
easier while running the business.

Wow 6000 individuals have partnered with Oroflame in Nigeria? That’s crazy. Thank you for this piece. I think we’ve had something like this in Ghana some years back but it was a scam. It’s good to see Oroflame has a lot of experience and clearly a good company.

This is absolutely right. Venturing into a business with no knowledge is just like saying “hi, I have money to throw away but I don’t want to throw it away and people will talk so go do it for me”.
