I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Do you know that one of the things that could ravage the gain or profit of a Poultry Farmer is when diseases are allowed in the Pen? And when diseases are allowed in the pen, it would either cause mortality rate or slow down the growth of the birds. No matter how rich the feed giving to these birds, if they are down with diseases, they won't grow well. That's why by any means possible, one should try as much as possible to control any kind of disease in the Poultry farm.
.... Meanwhile, there are many ways by diseases can be controlled in the Poultry farm. Some of it are......
- Disinfection exercise; The disinfection exercise comes after you are done with a particular batch before bringing in the next batch. Like I normally do, I make sure I disinfect the pen floor and tools used in the farm before bringing new set of chicks.
- Keeping clean hygiene; This is by making sure that the litter materials are packed when it's messed and replaced with new one occasionally in the pen farm. When this messed up litter materials are left in the pen for too long, it may invite diseases into the pen that can affect the birds and this could cause reduction in profit for the Farmer at the end of the day.
- Permanent footwear;This is the means of making sure that there's permanent footwear meant for the farm. This exercise alone helps to fend off diseases from the poultry farm. It's one of the natural ways to control diseases in the farm so that profit can be maximized.
