Bitcoin maximalists certainly are too as gullible or dreamy, and as such, they don't even try for a second to see things objectively or as they really are. They, the BTC maximalists, want to believe that Bitcoin will be the total and definitive replacement for fiat money and the traditional financial system, and they do so, in such a dogmatic way that many people are already beginning to classify them as a sect or A religion.
I think the same as you, Bitcoin is not, nor will it ever be, the panacea that will it come to solve each and every one of the problems and vices of fiat money and the prevailing financial system; but it is certainly the best we have so far in many ways. But, nevertheless, volatility and price manipulation make Bitcoin win fans and detractors just as easily.
Another argument of the maximalists is that they say that Bitcoin will replace gold as a store of value?... Will it really be like that? I personally don't think so, but it's debatable. In any case, I'm not a fan of anything, because I'm into crypto for two things, the value of the technology and the projects that support it (for the value of blockchain technology), and the profits I can make in the process. So technically, I'm also greedy, and I have to admit it... Hahaha.
Very good post. Thanks for sharing.
